Little Socks is a 50/50 Black Labrador and Great Pyrenees mix. She is gentle, expressive, affectionate, and the entire reason Little Socks Pet Hotel exists.
Every dog daycare has a beginning. Ours began with one very special dog.
Little Socks entered our family four years ago and quickly changed our lives. She is a 50/50 Black Labrador and Great Pyrenees mix, with a glossy black coat, a bright white chest, and perfectly white-tipped paws. She is gentle, expressive, affectionate, and impossible to forget.
But Little Socks is more than the namesake of Little Socks Pet Hotel. She is the reason it exists.
Bringing Little Socks into our family taught us just how much a dog can shape a home. Dogs do not simply live alongside us. They become part of our routines, our adventures, our celebrations, and the quiet moments in between.
Little Socks brought joy, companionship, and plenty of personality into our lives. She also helped us better understand what dogs need to feel comfortable and secure: room to explore, people they trust, opportunities to play, and a peaceful place to rest.
Over time, caring for Little Socks became the foundation for something larger. We wanted to create a place where other dogs could receive the same patience, attention, and affection that we would want for her.
Little Socks Pet Hotel grew from a simple idea: dogs deserve care that feels personal.
We know how difficult it can be to leave a beloved pet in someone else's hands. Dogs are family, and choosing the right daycare or overnight care provider requires trust. That is why we focus on creating a calm, welcoming environment where every guest is treated as an individual-not simply as another dog in a crowded facility.
Little Socks continues to remind us that every dog has a unique personality. Some dogs want to run and play all day. Others prefer a slower introduction, a quiet place to settle in, or extra reassurance from someone they know. Good care begins with paying attention to those differences.
That philosophy is at the heart of everything we do.

Since welcoming her into our family, our lives have become filled with more dogs, more friendships, and more opportunities to provide the kind of care we believe every pet deserves. Each dog who visits Little Socks Pet Hotel becomes part of that continuing story.
Today, Little Socks remains the heart of our business. She is our inspiration, our unofficial supervisor, and a daily reminder of why we started.
Her name may be on the sign, but her influence goes much deeper. She helped shape our belief that great dog care should feel safe, thoughtful, and personal. It should give dogs the freedom to be themselves while giving their families confidence that they are being genuinely cared for.
Little Socks was the pup who started it all-and every dog we welcome is part of what she inspired.
From playful adventures to calm rest time, Little Socks continues to shape the care standards we use every day.
